Senior/Estimator.

Housebuilder. South Midlands.

Cognisant Search has been instructed to appoint an Estimator/Senior Estimator on behalf of a housebuilder that develop quality homes across the South Midlands. You will be involved in producing land appraisals and will require experience in pricing a range of housing developments varying in complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initial appraisal of the tender opportunity for accuracy and completeness

  • Development of a measurement and pricing strategy

  • Attending site visits with pre-construction team members

  • Pre-enquiry communication with key supply chain partners

  • Arranging key supply chain tender review meetings

  • Maintain working relationships with local and national supply chains

  • Completion of design, specification, and value engineering reviews

  • Coordinating pricing in conjunction with the Planner

  • Preparing job pricing comparisons and resources for settlement meetings

  • Attendance at Client / Stakeholder meetings as required

  • Preparing documentation for handover meetings to production and commercial teams

Requirements:

  • Internal BOQ production

  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships

  • Strong commitment to achieving deadlines

  • Able to work efficiently on own initiative, prioritising as necessary

  • Maintaining confidentiality of work-related information and materials
