The Role
Working as part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, the Planning Manager will take the lead on preparing, managing, and delivering major residential planning applications across a significant portfolio of sites.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the preparation, submission, and management of major residential planning applications (outline, hybrid, and full).
Coordinating and managing multi-disciplinary consultant teams to ensure timely and robust submission packages.
Providing planning input into land acquisition, design development, and project strategy.
Preparing and managing appeals when necessary.
Building strong relationships with local authorities, stakeholders, and partners to support smooth project delivery.
Supporting senior management in developing planning strategies for large-scale residential sites.
What We’re Looking For
Experience running major planning applications, ideally for large-scale or complex schemes (Residential preferred but open to different asset classes)
RTPI or RICS (Planning & Development) qualified (or working toward qualification).
Proven ability to secure planning consents and navigate complex planning issues.
Excellent project management, negotiation, and communication skills.
Commercial awareness and an understanding of planning risk and development potential.
Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple live applications.
