Project Director.
Bath, Somerset.
Mixed-Use Regeneration.
Package to Attract the Best.
I’m working with a leading UK developer to appoint a Project Director to take charge of a landmark scheme in Bath. The project will transform a long-standing brownfield site into a vibrant new neighbourhood, delivering high-quality homes, community amenities, and significant public realm. With planning secured, funding in place, and early works underway, this is a rare opportunity to lead one of the South West’s most ambitious developments.
The Role
As Project Director, you will have overall responsibility for the safe, timely, and high-quality delivery of a multi-phase regeneration programme. Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll act as the key point of accountability for programme performance, stakeholder engagement, and governance.
Key responsibilities include:
Setting and managing programme strategy and sequencing across multiple phases.
Overseeing remediation, enabling, infrastructure, and major RC frame delivery.
Leading consultant, contractor, and partner teams across shell & core and fit-out.
Ensuring financial control, governance, and risk management.
Maintaining quality, placemaking, and sustainability standards across all phases.
Driving compliance with statutory, funding, and safety requirements.
Providing clear, decisive leadership across all internal and external stakeholders.
What They’re Looking For
15+ years’ experience in project or construction management.
Proven track record in delivering large-scale, multi-phase residential or mixed-use schemes (£100m+).
RC frame delivery expertise, ideally spanning both contractor and client-side roles.
Familiarity with ASTRA or similar programme management/reporting tools.
Strong commercial and financial acumen, ideally with exposure to public or grant-funded projects.
Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with credibility at board level.
Professional qualification (RICS, CIOB, RTPI, ICE) or equivalent desirable.
Why This Project?
This role offers:
Leadership of a £200m+ regeneration programme in a nationally visible heritage city.
The opportunity to deliver new homes, community uses, and public spaces in a UNESCO World Heritage setting.
A pivotal role in shaping one of the South West’s most transformative brownfield redevelopments.
The chance to combine large-scale regeneration with modern placemaking and sustainability outcomes.
