Cognisant is working with a well-established PLC housebuilder looking to strengthen its Yorkshire land team with the appointment of a Senior Land Manager.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will help identify and secure new opportunities across Yorkshire whilst also playing a visible role in progressing existing sites through the development process. The role offers a good balance between front-end land activity and wider development exposure, making it particularly well suited to someone who enjoys the commercial side of land but also wants involvement in the bigger picture.
The position will cover site sourcing and appraisal, negotiation and land acquisition, planning and promotion strategy, technical and infrastructure coordination, viability and commercial review, managing consultants, landowners and external stakeholders, as well as supporting sites through towards delivery stage.
The business is relatively open-minded on background. You could already be operating at Senior Land Manager level or potentially be a Land Manager looking to step up into a broader role. Experience within PLC housebuilding, strategic or immediate land, land promotion, planning, development or consultancy environments would all be of interest, particularly where individuals have been closely involved in the front-end development and progression of residential schemes.
More important is mindset. They are looking for someone commercially aware, relationship-driven and capable of operating across both acquisition and wider development matters. The Yorkshire business is well established, has a strong pipeline already secured and offers a realistic long-term progression route for the right individual.
