I’m working with a leading developer to appoint a Technical Manager for a flagship residential-led regeneration scheme in Bath. The project brings together heritage retention, new-build construction, and sustainable placemaking, delivering high-quality homes alongside new public realm and landscaped green spaces within the city’s UNESCO World Heritage setting.
This is a hands-on, site-based role offering the chance to take ownership of technical delivery on one of the South West’s most distinctive residential projects.
The Role
You will have overall responsibility for the safe, timely, and high-quality delivery of a multi-phase regeneration programme. Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll act as the key point of accountability for programme performance, stakeholder engagement, and governance.

As Technical Manager, you’ll be the on-site technical lead, ensuring smooth coordination and practical problem-solving across all packages. This is not a drawing-office position but a delivery-focused role.

Leading technical packages, ensuring approvals and coordination are achieved on time.
Monitoring programme progress, risks, and reporting directly to senior technical leadership.
Acting as the key technical point of contact for subcontractors, resolving approvals, design queries, and materials issues quickly.
Coordinating integration of retained heritage features with modern RC frame, façade, acoustic, and slab edge details.
Proactively identifying project risks and driving their resolution.
Collaborating closely with Project Management, Commercial, Interiors, Health & Safety, and Site teams to ensure programme success.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive Technical Manager with a proven track record in large-scale residential delivery.
Essential:
Strong background in RC frame construction.
Expertise in façade coordination, acoustic detailing, and slab edge management.
Experience with heritage or complex building projects.
Excellent subcontractor management and communication skills.
Collaborative working style with leadership potential.
Exposure to mixed-tenure or luxury residential schemes.
Desirable:
Knowledge of heritage retention or Georgian architecture.
Experience in high-end interiors or fit-out coordination.
