Cognisant Search is delighted to have been instructed to appoint an Adoptions Manager on behalf of Harworth Group Plc, one of the leading land and property regeneration companies in the UK. The company specialises in securing large, mixed-use sites by either option or freehold acquisition, preparing them for development, typically traditional housing (1000 + units), or major industrial/logistics schemes. They develop some of these sites, others they dispose of with the benefit of planning, with remediation/infrastructure works completed.
Key aspects of the role include:
Working closely with the Utilities, Project Management and Acquisition teams you will take the lead role on the formal adoption of built infrastructure (highways, drainage, and utilities)
Ensure that once site infrastructure (roads, utilities, sub-stations etc) is installed on their major development sites and manage the same though to adoption including legal completion, legal transfer, minor remedial works etc
Working with the Director, you will develop the strategy for securing adoption, manage any maintenance contracts on completed infrastructure, manage remedial works, and identify and mitigate potential risks, discharging any outstanding performance bonds
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a business that is ambitious and already has a considerable land & asset bank (c13,000 acres). You have proven industry experience in infrastructure construction and services adoption. You are articulate, accurate and extremely well organised with strong stakeholder management skills and ‘get things done,’ with experience of working with major residential and commercial projects.
