Cognisant is working with a housebuilder that is looking to recruit a Commercial Finance Director. Operating as a finance business partner, you will support the Managing Director and operational disciplines reviewing and challenging key decisions from a finance perspective in addition to leading the finance function.

You will:

  • Support the Managing Director and senior leadership team in the strategic growth of the business

  • Review performance against the business plan and provide improvements where appropriate

  • Obtain a detailed understanding of risks and costs for new and existing sites and reviewing the potential challenges

  • Partner the Managing Director on all new business decisions, including land acquisitions and review all aspects of the scheme with the management team

  • Monitor financial performance, ensuring the finance team provide timely and accurate information

You will be a qualified accountant with experience of operating in the housebuilding sector. This opportunity requires both strategic support and a hands on approach.
